Jargery (Jargerian: Jarja), officially the Kingdom of Jargery (Jargerian: Blaskat Jarje), is a sovereign state located in Eastern Wechall, bordered by Alfdal to the east, Helvenia to the southeast, Wake to the southwest, and Efterland to the west. Its capital and most populous city is Svin, located in the southwest of the country.
Jargery was unified as the Kingdom of Jargery in the 11th-century. In the 17th-century, a small province of Jargery was seceded to the Lungarian Empire in order to avoid the whole kingdom from being annexed. For many centuries, the kingdom remained small and inconsequential, yet strong and popular within the region. A constitutional monarchy system was introduced in 1834. Queen Madelaina II has ruled as a constitutional monarch since 1984.
Jargery is a rural nation, with 60% of its 6.1 million population residing in rural areas, such as towns and villages. Of the population, 92% identify as ethnically Jargerian, with the remaining 8% being of primarily immigrant origin. The national and sole official language of the nation is Jargerian, an Alkerk language, which is spoken natively by about 95% of the population. While the Jargerian constitution advocates for the freedom of religion, Jargerians largely adhere to Church of Jargery, an offshoot of the Wechallian Catholic Church.
