The counties of Lungary (Lungarian: Wraüder Lüngard) are the second-largest official subdivision of Lungary. Each state (apart from the city-states of Elgerholme, Kolna, and Munbach) are divided into counties. The counties are further subdivided into districts. There are 118 counties, the smallest being Bleckertz County in Darland (13 thousand people), and the largest Schauwe-Braskowitz County in Halverbach (4.4 million people).

The counties of Lungary were first established following the disbandment of the Old Lungarian Kingdoms as a system of subdivision in 1818, with the beginning of the modern Kingdom of Lungary. At the time, each county was headed by a count, with the counties using an absolute monarchy system of government. When Lungary became a constitutional monarchy in 1909, the counties became constitutional monarchies as well, and are currently run by a county supervisor and county executive board, both elected positions.

Subdivisions

Districts

Each county is further subdivided into districts. Cities do not belong to districts, and instead make up their own district. These city-districts are classified as "urban districts", while other districts are classified as "rural districts". Rural districts are synonymous with towns, but rural districts may also include villages within them, which are simply neighborhoods that have more autonomy from the town, but do not possess their own government.
